Micro-Sponsor is a sponsorship level for individuals and small businesses who want to sponsor WordCamp in a manageable and yet still visible way. Beyond that, this is an opportunity for those who are using WordPress — a free, open-source product — to give back to the community.

This sponsorship level is geared towards individuals and small business that rely on WordPress to make their keep. Here’s how Micro Sponsors will be acknowledged:

  1. A logo on the WordCamp Kathmandu, Nepal’s official website
  2. Opportunity to give away swag at WordCamp Swag Store
  3. Small-sized logo on the Banner as Micro Supporters
  4. Acknowledgement and thanks in closing remarks
  5. A thanking you for your sponsorship of WordCamp Kathmandu, Nepal 2018 on our social channels (Twitter and Facebook)
  6. 1 vacancy announcement (related to WordPress) will be pinned on the top for 5 days on WordPress Nepal’s Facebook group for a year

WordCamp Kathmandu 2018 Tickets

The tickets for WordCamp Kathmandu 2018 have been sold out.

Lunch and some cool WordCamp swags are included with every ticket purchase, which probably makes WordCamp Kathmandu 2018 the best WordCamp in Nepal to happen to-date. Not to mention a full day of inspiring sessions from WordPress gurus and a chance to find like-minded people!

WordCamp Kathmandu, Nepal is happening  Saturday, March 17th and Sunday 18th, 2018

Interested individuals can register at the venue itself but T-shirt and printed name tag will not be available for late registration. For t-shirt our organizing team member will call you after reprinting.

Notice Regarding PAN/VAT Bills

In the past few weeks, we have been getting requests for PAN bill for the purchase of WordCamp Kathmandu tickets.
We regret to inform you that we cannot provide you the PAN bills. WordCamps are casual community events. It is run by local volunteers and the ticket prices you pay are not for generating profits. Instead, the surplus amounts are used for the next WordCamp, Meet ups and WordPress Events in the country. That means, the volunteers and the organizers don’t receive any remuneration.
WordCamps are not run by a private company and therefore the PAN is not registered for WordCamp Kathmandu.
We thank you for your cooperation towards WordCamp Kathmandu 2018.

Call for Contributor Day Team Leads

WordCamp Kathmandu 2018 will have a Contributor Day on 18th of March at Karki Banquet, which will consist of attendees contributing back to WordPress community in many ways.

Contributor Day are for everyone, regardless your experience level with WordPress. Even someone who knows very little about WordPress can contribute by answering support questions. Attendees break up into different teams and focus on a particular segment of WordPress. All the teams will be led by someone who will help the attendees.

Following subjects are chosen for contribution on this day:

Core – There are generally two different groups on a contributor day: those who have contributed to core before and those who have not. For new contributors, you will learn how to get involved with the WordPress core development community and start contributing to WordPress core.

Theme – Are you interested in seeing how you can run a contribution session for theme reviews? Great, you’ve come to the right place!

Polyglots – Make WordPress available in all the languages by translating WordPress to your native language. The team lead(s) must be GTE, if possible.

Community – Do you want to have WordPress meetup or WordCamp in your hometown? These might be a good place to learn how to start.

Support – This team’s goal is to provide help to WordPress users in WordPress.org support forum, IRC or regional support forums.

Docs – This team usually helps in improving the quality of current WordPress docs, including Theme & Plugin documentation.

WordCamp Early Bird Tickets Deadline Extended

The Early Bird Ticket deadline which was originally set to November 25th has been extended to January 10, 2018 Midnight due to ongoing country’s elections at various dates. The ticket price for the event would remain at NRs 1500 that includes an entrance to the whole day event, Cool Swags & T-shirt, After Party, Lunch and Beverages.

The ticket price is subject to rise to NRs 2000 starting January 11, 2018. If you haven’t yet registered, grab your tickets now before it’s sold out.
