Here we offer several exciting roles where you can contribute your valuable expertise to #WCKTM, enhancing our vibrant and collaborative tech event community.
Hall Lead
- You are the main team leader in the allocated hall.
- Your main responsibility is to run the sessions smoothly.
- You have to coordinate with Timekeeper, Door guard, Tech & Speaker help, Mike Runners, Social Media handlers, and other volunteers within the Hall.
Timekeeper
- Your responsibility is to start and end the sessions, and talks on time.
- Show time cards to speakers for their remaining time during the session.
- You have to help the speakers stay on the proper time track.
Door guard
- You have to warmly welcome people into the halls before the session starts.
- Make halls peaceful by maintaining silence when people enter or exit the halls during the talks.
- You will get good chances to see the sessions when you’re guarding the door.
- During the Q&A you have to help microphone runners at the backside of the halls.
Tech help
- Your role is to connect with Audio & Video Wrangler.
- Your job is to make sure that the session doesn’t go wrong with any technical difficulties.
- You should have the technical knowledge to resolve the issues.
Microphone Runners
- It’s a super easy job but should be a speedy person resolving last-minute issues.
- You have to assist the Hall lead with things that might be needed in the hall.
- The main role is to run microphones during the Q&As.
Social Media handlers
- You are responsible to write posts and share pictures during the sessions
- You will have to post directly on the WCKTM social media accounts.
- You should interact and respond to the people who are commenting on posts.
- you have to be fast and accurate due to the time constraint.
- You need to support attendees if they ask for help using social media.
- Help in creating compelling written content, including social media posts, blog articles, website content, and promotional materials.
Media & Communication Support
- Your role is very important during the whole event.
- You have to communicate with the Photography/video team.
- You have to make sure that all photos/videos are captured as needed.
- You need to find and share news during the event.
- You have to prepare and set up interviews with speakers, attendees, and more.
- You make sure all Media supporters and Media partners get updates during the conference.
Sponsor Facilitator
- You will be supporting and assisting Sponsors throughout the event
- You will manage stalls and facilitate sponsors for any activities they conduct
- Take care of any assets requirement
- Be Bridge between sponsor wrangler and Sponsors
Workshop Assistant
- Directly coordinate with Workshop Session leads.
- You have to create a friendly environment for Workshop leads during their workshop.
- Attendees need an approval signature from the Happiness Bar manager to get in a workshop and it’s your job to verify those.
- It’s your role to make sure nobody is a disturbance during a workshop.
Registration & Swag Station Manager
- Set up the Registration & swag table.
- Plan and make sure all stuff is in good order.
- Coordinate with Swag Station lead, Finance, and Print Wrangler
- Oversee the swag area and make sure everything is fine.
- Make sure that enough volunteers are present at the swag station.
- Create a system to hand out T-shirts and check who got one.
Swag Station Assistant
- Work with Swag Stations Manager and other volunteers
- Help Attendees to get the swag quickly.
- Make sure all stations are peaceful
After Party Entrance Manager
- Welcome people to the after-party and check their badges.
- You have to get people into the venue in a quick and organized way.
- You set the mood for the team to get people excited to enter the party location.
- You make sure to keep out unwanted guests.
