{"id":6363,"date":"2026-09-16T10:30:00","date_gmt":"2026-09-16T04:45:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kathmandu.wordcamp.org\/2026\/?p=6363"},"modified":"2026-09-15T17:03:38","modified_gmt":"2026-09-15T11:18:38","slug":"photo-upload-guidelines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kathmandu.wordcamp.org\/2026\/photo-upload-guidelines\/","title":{"rendered":"WordCamp Kathmandu 2026 Photo Upload Guidelines"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">WordCamp Kathmandu is a community WordPress event where developers, designers, professional photographers, business owners, and WordPress learners come together to learn, share, and connect through open-source web development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year, WordCamp Kathmandu 2026 takes place on <strong>September 18\u201319<\/strong> (Contributor Day and Conference Day) at <strong>Alice Receptions, Gairidhara, Kathmandu<\/strong>, under the theme <em>&#8220;Where Ancient Culture Meets Open Source.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our Photo Table Leads warmly invite you to share your photos from the event with the <strong>WordPress Photo Directory<\/strong> using the tag <strong>#WCKTM2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why it matters<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every photo approved into the directory is released under a CC0 license once it&#8217;s live, anyone in the world can use it for free, for any purpose, without needing to credit you. That&#8217;s what makes the directory valuable: it&#8217;s built entirely from real community moments like the ones you&#8217;ll capture at WordCamp Kathmandu. Your photo will be a permanent part of WordPress resources,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here are the set of rules and requirements to keep in mind before submitting photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Photo Directory requirements<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These come directly from the <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/photos\/guidelines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">official WordPress Photo Directory guidelines<\/a> submissions that don&#8217;t meet them won&#8217;t be approved:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Real photographs only-<\/strong> no screenshots, digital art, AI-generated images, or photos of someone else&#8217;s painting, mural, or graffiti.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Your own captures<\/strong>&#8211; you must hold the copyright, so only submit photos you personally took.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Technical specs<\/strong>&#8211; JPEG format, between 2000\u00d72000 and 7500\u00d77500 pixels, and 1\u201320MB in file size.
