Call for Speakers: WordCamp Kathmandu 2026

The future of the open web is being written right now. And this year, we want Kathmandu to be part of that conversation.

WordCamp Kathmandu 2026 is officially looking for speakers.

We welcome developers, designers, marketers, SEO professionals, freelancers, agency owners, community builders, and curious minds who want to share ideas that move both WordPress and Nepal forward.

This year’s theme is “Building the Open Web with AI“.

Not as a buzzword. Not as hype. But as a real conversation about how AI, WordPress, open source, digital marketing, and community can shape the future of digital Nepal.

This Year is Different

AI is changing how people build websites, create content, improve search visibility, and run businesses. But while the internet is flooded with generic “AI will change everything” takes, we want to focus on something more grounded:

  • Real workflows
  • Real tools
  • Real marketing strategies
  • Real growth stories
  • Real community impact

We are looking for sessions that inspire people to build, create and contribute. We want practical ideas that attendees can use the very next day.

Most importantly, we want WordCamp Kathmandu 2026 to remain what WordCamps have always been at their best. Human, collaborative, and community-driven.

Lightning Talks

10-minute focused presentations with no audience Q&A.

Regular Talks

20-minute presentations followed by 10 minutes of audience Q&A.

Joint Session

Co-presented by two speakers, with 20 minutes of presentation and 10 minutes of audience Q&A.

We especially encourage sessions that include live demonstrations, workflow breakdowns, case studies, practical tutorials, technical deep dives, beginner-friendly introductions, and actionable strategies.

Why WordCamp Kathmandu Matters

Kathmandu sits at the center of a rapidly growing digital movement in Nepal. As the country moves toward stronger digitization, open-source technology, digital marketing, and online business ecosystems will play a major role in shaping that future.

WordPress gives people the power to create, publish, build businesses, and share ideas independently. That matters for Nepal — and the WordPress community here has the chance to help lead that transformation.

WordCamp Kathmandu 2026 is not just about websites. It’s about people building the future together.

International Speakers Welcome

While we especially encourage voices from Nepal and the region, international speakers are always welcome. The best events happen when local energy meets global perspectives.

Presentation language: English is strongly encouraged to keep the experience accessible for all attendees and speakers.
