Pooja Derashri is a WordPress Community Program Manager and co-founder of WPVibes, a WordPress plugin company from Ajmer, Rajasthan, India. She has been part of the WordPress ecosystem since 2013 and currently serves as the WordPress Community Team Representative.
Pooja works closely with the WordPress Education Program, including Campus Connect, WordPress Student Clubs, WordPress Credits, and the Faculty Training Program. Through these programs, she helps universities, students, and community members find real ways to get involved in open source, whether that’s through classroom learning, mentorship, or event organizing.
She initiated Women WordPress Day and has been a key driver behind WordPress Campus Connect since its early days. Her recent work includes leading the program team for WordCamp Rajasthan 2026 and supporting organizing efforts for WordCamp Asia 2026 in Mumbai.
At WordCamp Kathmandu, Pooja will share how WordPress education programs work and how students, mentors, and community organizers alike can get involved, using Nepal’s own early steps into these programs as a starting point for the conversation.
Outside of community work, Pooja holds a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and enjoys building tools that make open source easier to contribute to, both through her work at WPVibes and through the community programs she supports.
