What an incredible two days it has been!
WordCamp Kathmandu 2026 brought our WordPress community together on September 18 and 19 at Alice Receptions, Gairidhara, for two days filled with contribution, learning, collaboration, networking, and connection.
This year, the response from the community was truly amazing:
- 220+ attendees joined us for Contributor Day
- 350+ attendees joined us for Conference Day
That means 570+ people joined us across two days, making WordCamp Kathmandu 2026 a wonderful celebration of the WordPress community.
Day 1: Contributor Day
We kicked off WordCamp Kathmandu 2026 with Contributor Day on September 18.
With 220+ attendees, the venue was full of energy as community members came together to contribute to WordPress and learn more about the many ways they can give back to the project.
From Core and Themes to Plugins, Documentation, Photos, Accessibility, Polyglots, Training, and more, contributors joined different tables, shared their knowledge, asked questions, and explored new ways to contribute.
Contributor Day was a wonderful reminder that contribution is for everyone. You don’t have to be a developer to contribute — everyone has skills, ideas, experiences, and time that can help make WordPress better.
Day 2: Conference Day
On September 19, we welcomed 350+ attendees for Conference Day.
The day was filled with insightful sessions, inspiring speakers, engaging discussions, networking, and plenty of conversations between members of the WordPress community.
From WordPress and technology to business, development, design, AI, content, and community, there was something for everyone.
Beyond the sessions and presentations, it was the people who made the day truly special — the conversations during breaks, meeting old friends, making new connections, sharing ideas, and simply being together as a community.
Two Days. 570+ Attendees. Countless Memories.
From 220+ contributors on Contributor Day to 350+ attendees on Conference Day, WordCamp Kathmandu 2026 brought together 570+ people across two days.
Every conversation, contribution, session, photograph, and shared moment became part of the story of this year’s WordCamp.
And behind every successful WordCamp are people who give their time, energy, knowledge, and support.
